7月14日，特朗普發帖說，「你昨天聽到的，關於12名俄羅斯黑客的事發生在奧巴馬執政期間，而不是特朗普政府。他們為甚麼不對此採取行動呢？特別是有報道稱，在選舉前的9月份，聯邦調查局已經就此通知了奧巴馬總統？」
The stories you heard about the 12 Russians yesterday took place during the Obama Administration, not the Trump Administration. Why didn’t they do something about it, especially when it was reported that President Obama was informed by the FBI in September, before the Election?

身在芬蘭的特朗普，在歐洲時間15日晚上發推文說：「北韓已經9個月沒有試射導彈或火箭了，也沒有核試驗，我們也救回了人質。沒人知道（協商）結果會怎樣，但那些假新聞媒體為甚麼隻字不提這些正面成果呢？因為他們只會報道假新聞！」

他還說，「奧巴馬總統認為邪惡希拉莉將贏得大選，所以當FBI告知他俄羅斯進行干擾時，他說這不可能發生，並對此不作為，而當我贏了（大選），這就成為了一個大問題，由Strzok領導著被操縱的獵巫（Witch Hunt）行動！」
