近日沙特阿拉伯北部出現降雪，雪量還不小，白雪覆蓋沙漠、駱駝踏雪而行的影片和照片在網上流傳，吸引不少人關注。
當地多家媒體發布了影片和照片，證實12月18日在沙特阿拉伯北部塔布克地區（Tabuk）和勞茲山，發生少有的暴風雪，氣溫降到了零下四度。
沙漠下雪，讓當地居民也非常興奮。據《海灣新聞》報道，降雪將塔布克地區的山脈裝飾得銀裝素裹，吸引當地居民和遊客來到戶外。因勞茲山降雪過多，民防部門加強了現場安全措施。

在網上，有不少網民驚呼「沙漠也會下雪」。但事實上， 沙特阿拉伯的北部地區降雪並不罕見。2029年亞冬會的舉辦地，就在沙特阿拉伯西北部的特羅耶納（Trojena）。

據《海灣新聞》報道，一位沙特阿拉伯著名天文學家表示，沙特阿拉伯北部在冬季會出現周期性地降雪，但是並不規律，很大程度上取決於氣候和大氣條件的變化。他表示，降雪在塔布克、阿爾焦夫（Al-Jouf）等地區最為常見 。#
