期待好久好久了，炮竹花提起腳跟，伸長頸項，站立如企鵝，期待春天的來臨，在路旁，在田野，在花園，在人間……。
當春天哼著她的歌，捏弄著她的衣角，緩步而來，炮竹花便劈劈啪啪地拍著手——拍紅了手，拍紅了臉，滿臉堆著笑，歡欣鼓舞地迎接著她的來臨，在路旁，在田野，在花園，在人間……。
那是怎樣的一種美景！幾個孩子摀著耳朵，顯現畏怯的樣子，臉上掛著天真。一個孩子拿著點燃的香條，伸長手去點燃炮竹，遂有劈啪之聲響起，有漫空輕煙，有孩子摀著耳朵……。
然後，摀著耳朵的手放下了……。
然後，一個個孩子的臉綻滿花朵了……。
然後，當然是一串串炮竹花，一串串春天了……。
其實，炮竹花何嘗不是春天？不是在歡唱春天的歌？拍手本身就捏弄得出春天來，就在歡唱春天的歌！從掌心可以拍出一個春來，唱出一個春天來……。
